B-BBEE Initiatives |
Intern Initiative - Established in January 2004
In January 2004, Lofentse Koboekae, an Information Technology student, joined Bateleur for his internship. He was given the opportunity to experience all aspects of Bateleur business and took well to the challenge.
After completing his internship Lo worked as part of a Bateleur team on a client project. Lofentse was approached by the client to take a permanent position with them.
Bateleur are very proud to have been part of his early career development and continue to monitor his career growth.
In late 2006 we signed up a young Intern to assist with our in-house server infrastructure. He stayed with Bateleur for two years, moving on to a client site in February 2009, to gain more experience on a bigger site.
Bateleur will continue with the Internship programme to the benefit of both Bateleur and the interns.

Tiger Kloof School , Vryburg, North West Province - Started 2007
In 2007, Bateleur selected this school in the North West Province, since the Provincial Government is a key client of Bateleur. The school comprises both a Junior and Senior school and has both day scholars and boarders with approximately 600 learners. Bateleur sponsor the school fees, stationery, text books and uniforms for two pupils each year. The appropriate learners will be identified by the school board.
In 2008 our scholars were Mathapelo and Tshegofatso, both in Grade 10.
